My role is all about relationships. And it’s something I’m very passionate about. I’m the single point of contact for my clients. I need solid relationships to do my job effectively… and to lift the pressure of marketing from my clients’ shoulders.

I love going on the journey with our clients. It’s amazing to see how their businesses transform through the process. To be part of that success is really rewarding.

Performing under pressure

Early in my career I spent more than a decade working in event management with the Peppers Resort chain. I was lucky enough to travel across Australia, the UK and New Zealand, managing corporate events as well as weddings and holidays. The time and relationship management skills I developed during this part of my career have really shaped who I am.

Successfully managing an event is much like a business. You need to have exceptional organisational skills and be prepared to step in when the going gets tough.

I’m lucky that I perform well under pressure. I’ve handled many stressful situations both as an individual and also as a leader with a team who were looking to me for direction. It’s helped me to grow as a person and in my profession.

I bring those skills to my role here at Brilliant Digital. Digital marketing has a lot of moving parts. It’s not simply about a website or a few social media posts… it’s about being strategic and looking at the whole picture to achieve a consistent and cohesive brand and message.

As a client manager it’s my job to bring all of those elements together. While our clients are getting on with running their business, we are building a website and implementing a strategic marketing plan that will give them the sustained brand growth they are looking for.

Sharing common ground

After taking time to have my children I decided to start my own business. I set up a successful flower business, which I sold after five years. It was an extremely rewarding experience… with its fair share of challenges.

To run a business, you have to be across everything – digital marketing included. You need to stay open to learning about new ways of reaching your customers and pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone. For me, it was never just about how much money I made… it was about my passion for my business and customers.

As a business owner, having data to measure results is critical. And the wonderful thing about digital marketing is that the data is all there. We don’t shy away from that. I am proud to show my clients the data because the results we get are very clear. But I never rest on a good result. I’m always looking for ways we can tweak and make improvements to drive the brand even further.

Family matters

Nothing matters to me more than family. Spending time with my husband and three kids is incredibly important. Whether it’s being outdoors hiking or bike riding together or simply going to the beach for a walk or swim. It’s what I enjoy most and what helps me to recharge my batteries.

I’m really grateful that Brilliant Digital recognises the importance of family. Being able to work in a flexible way has really helped me to do more of what I love.
