Capturing the essence of WSBC’s State of the Region Address

The State of the Region Address is Western Sydney Business Connection’s flagship event. It brings together business leaders, local government and industry heads from across Western Sydney… and it facilitates connection, opportunities for growth, and a chance to tap into the pulse of the region.

Held in exceptional surrounds at the William Inglis in Warwick Farm, the sold-out 2018 event was a who’s who of Western Sydney.

For the second year running, WSBC was pleased to have the Premier of New South Wales, The Hon Gladys Berejiklian MP in attendance. She spoke of the spirit of community and the huge opportunity for investment and development in the region, with the announcement of a newly combined university super-campus at the Aerotropolis.

Brilliant Digital’s objective on the day was to use video storytelling to capture the essence of the State of the Region Address.

Jo-Lise Finn managed the production team. “We wanted to highlight the enormous opportunities there are for business in the region and the feeling of connection. And we wanted to show how WSBC supports this by promoting networking and communication with like-minded people at its events.

Use authentic content

Networking at State of the Region

Vox pops are a great way to add depth and authenticity to the content.

Jo prepared questions in advance that would illustrate and support the core messages of the day: fostering connection, bringing the community together and opportunities for growth in Western Sydney.

She interviewed a dozen guests and a number of these made great additions to the video.

More than the individual speakers and announcements from the day, the showreel conveys the positive, collaborative spirit of the people of Western Sydney.

It expresses the sense of anticipation of what the region can expect, particularly with the Aerotropolis, and it garners the sense of excitement for what the region can achieve.
