I have a numbers brain. I love spreadsheets and analytics. I’m fascinated with the details involved in making a website beautiful, but for me it’s about the functionality and the user experience – how it works for the customers using it and how it makes them feel.
I’m a professional nerd, really. I get genuinely excited about analysing data and maximising results. You can have the most beautiful website in the world with the coolest features, but if it’s not making you money, it is not working.
I assisted with the design of my first website for an online travel company and I was surprised by how much I loved the experience. It was because of that first website that I moved into digital marketing and advertising.
Before coming to Brilliant Digital, I worked as an account manager for a national television station as well as an international native ad platform.
I loved my work, but my job didn’t have a lot of flexibility. After my kids came along, I had to make a choice. I wanted, with every fibre of my being, to be there for my kids… but I also didn’t want to give up on the career I had worked so hard for.

As a Client Manager, I get to work in a multidisciplinary team of digital marketing experts, which I really enjoy. I work with writers, editors, operations, advertising, strategy and development. It’s a fascinating mix of people and ideas, and it’s a credit to the team that with such a diverse group, we maintain such a positive, supportive culture.

No two days are ever the same, and that excites me.
The best bit of all!! I can’t tell you how much more productive my day is without commuting through Sydney traffic for hours on end.
I can make my coffee and settle down to work while the kids are playing in the garden. My ideas are fresh, I’m not frazzled, my life is just so much calmer – even with two small children!… Now there’s something I never thought I’d say!
It’s a constant source of amazement to me how we can all work remotely, but still maintain such a cohesive team. Our management team is incredibly supportive and it all just… works! There’s also the option of physically joining a communal workspace each week, if you’d like to. It’s nice to have the option.
Our Monday catch-ups are great. You get to know everyone personally, swap ideas, ask a kazillion questions and build those personal relationships that make us such a great team. But even when we are working from home, we are still in regularly in contact with each other. Our work is of a collaborative nature, so that’s important.
With two small children and a job I love, I don’t have a lot of free time. But what I have I spend with my family.
We have a garden now, so I am really enjoying that, playing with my kids outside. And my background is Greek, so spending time cooking for my family is hugely important.
I love to cook, but as my husband is a chef, it’s whoever gets in first, when it comes to making dinner. When I’m not competing for my kitchen, I read or listen to music.
Family is at the centre of who I am. I watch movies with my sisters, laugh with my husband, catch up with my friends and play with my kids. The flexibility at work means I can enjoy all of that.
Having a fulfilling life makes me better at my job. I am happier, healthier and more focused. I have more quality time to devote to my clients, which is important to me. No one has to make do with the leftovers.
