The conclusion that we’ve come to after looking at the feeds of all the businesses that Brilliant Digital manage, is that there has been limited change to the numbers of impressions and clicks-through. This is good news!

And we think the main reason for this is that we put really high quality, engaging content in the feeds – good quality stories and information – they’re not just adverts.

The less meaningful or relevant content is the sort of stuff Facebook is trying to weed out of news feeds.

Get your content right

Entertaining contentSo if you are running a Facebook feed and Facebook business ads for a company and you’ve seen a massive drop in impressions and clicks-through, what you need to do is make your content more interesting and engaging, and more conversational. Layering your content with photos, videos, and links is great too.

It needs to be more entertaining, because ultimately Facebook is an entertainment platform. If you make these changes to your content, you’ll find that engagement will improve.

Hedge your bets

The other thing you need to understand is that you need to concentrate on more than one platform.
